//2009 Toyota Corolla TV Spot - Rejected
The idea of "No point fixing up your rice rockets when all you really need is the complete package of the Corolla" really doesn't sit well with me. For one, you're putting down the exact target demographics you're going after. I mean, these are people who love their cars. Granted, most of them don't have the eyes or the tastes to mod their cars well. But sending them a messsage that says "Dump that junk of yours and get yourself something better..." and oh, wait, it's just a friggin' Corolla... I am not convinced at all, and I certainly wouldn't treat the potential customers by questioning their intelligence in car choices.
Also, noticed how this tv spot focused more on the "ghetto" car more than its main subject. Do you think Toyota wants to spend millions of dollars on a tv spot that doesn't show its car for that long?

Well, the 2009 Corolla and Matrix are actually pretty nice looking. You should look them up and see for yourself.
